Below are some of the project done by Mei Ee Architect and some of the past work experience throughout professional practices :-
RACKSON HOUSE
‘Rackson house’ is located at Jalan Bagan Jermal, George Town and it sits humbly amidst a 2640m² of land area surrounded by landscaped garden. This is a refurbishment project to transform the existing old building into Corporate house by adding a new multi-purpose annex hall, rejuvenating the internal space and external compound.
HILLSIDE RETREAT
Built in the early 1900s, Hillside Bungalow is one of the oldest bungalows on Penang Hill and is classified as a Category II heritage building in the Penang Hill Local Plan 1998 and Penang Hill Special Area Plan 2016. The bungalow was once used as a rest house for British government officers. It was turned into a rest house for public servants after Independence and left vacant.
RELAU SPORT COMPLEX (RSC)
City Council of Penang Island (MBPP) Relau Sports Complex - (MBPP RSC) is located strategically in Relau and easily accessible by local residents. It is an excellent recreational and athletic venue for the people to pursue an active and healthy lifestyle. The RSC is also ideal venue for athletes to carry out their training.
The two-storey complex built over 8,785sqm site with approximate 4,275.50sqm built-up area. The MBPP RSC is equipped with an Olympic size swimming pool, a diving pool, ten indoor badminton courts and other extensive facilities including gymnasium, dry-gym room, shower and changing rooms, pro-shop, cafeteria and etc.
SS SHOWHOUSE
Located in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia, The SS Showhouse interior design was characterized by intricate geometric shapes and patterns that emphasize luxury and opulence. In this project, colour was utilized to bring out the luxurious feel of art deco style while going beyond its usual limits. Experience "Enter a realm where vibrant hues narrate tales of timeless elegance." Every detail tells a story, where the past meets the present in a symphony of style and sophistication.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Redefining Modern Living
The new Affordable Housing Project presents a remarkable blend of modern design and practical living. This 30-storey condominium comprises 500 residential units, each offering a spacious 950 square feet layout with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Designed to provide residents with both comfort and convenience, the building includes an eight-level car parking podium and an array of amenities. These include a communal kitchen, a swimming pool, a gym, a study room, a children's playroom, an outdoor garden, and BBQ facilities.
The design emphasizes exclusivity, ensuring that the building exudes the elegance and style of a high-end condominium while maintaining affordability. This project sets a new standard for affordable housing, offering a superior living environment without compromising on quality or aesthetics.
SERVICED APARTMENT
A New Standard in Urban Living
The 36-storey serviced apartment exemplifies contemporary and minimalist design, creating diverse living spaces tailored to meet the unique needs of its residents. This project, developed in collaboration with SA Architect Sdn. Bhd., redefines urban living, making it an ideal choice for those seeking the perfect home.
The building's design focuses on maximizing space and living comfort. Each unit is oriented north-south, allowing residents to enjoy natural light without direct sunlight, enhancing the overall living experience. The tastefully conceived apartments offer a range of possibilities, catering to a variety of lifestyles and preferences.
BACKLANE PENANG+CHURCH STREET
The backlane revitalization project is initiated by Penang Island City Council (MBPP) to bring life to under-used backlanes in George Town.
The Chuch Street-Penang Street backlane is located at George Town World Heritage site, connecting Church Street (Lebuh Gereja) and Penang Street (Lebuh Penang). The existing backlane and open space is under-utilize due to hardly noticeable from the main road, perception of lack of safety, and lack of basic facilities.
Backlanes are always thought of as service lanes for utility providers. With beautification and upgrades, it will give city-goers and tourists a different view of the heritage zone. The main objective of the project is to enhance back lane behind George Town’s heritage shop-houses, to create landscaped pedestrian walkways that complete with trees for shade, lights and street furniture.
Bank Of China Landscape
Side and back lanes in Penang are now in better shape, making pedestrians to feel safer and comfortable to use them; in fact, pedestrians opt to use them because of the ambiance.
The side lane located between Bank of China and HSBC Bank, which connects Beach Street to Weld Quay was transformed into an exciting pocket park.
OPEN THEATER
Penang Hill’s open theatre is located at Bukit Bendera or also known as Penang Hill. The open theatre is a landscape design with canopy covering to provide enough shades to people when it is not in use. Sometimes the open theatre is used for certain performance and some events held by Penang Hill’s management for tourists and locals. Not only the canopy and the open space are being the only attraction, the landscape design nearby are also getting so many attention and majority of tourists and locals took picture with the landscape plants as well. It is also been used as a place to rest for awhile after walking around in Penang Hill’s area.
DALAT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
The International School at Tanjong Bungah, located in Penang, Malaysia, stands as a premier example of modern educational architecture. This primary school occupies a scenic 31,490 square meter site adjacent to a stunning seaside, embodying a design philosophy that emphasizes form-inspired learning.
FROM DRAB TO DREAM
Revitalizing an abandoned old house can often be more challenging than new construction.
The balanced integration of artistic sense and structural scientific methodology is essential to creating good architecture design. The existing structural framework of the main building is maintained; while SSWD house has been remodeled, giving the abandoned house a new life, and comfortable living space.
FROM THE ASHES
Built in the early of 1932, the house was designed in late straits eclectic style. It burned to the ground in 2016 caused by short circuits. The damage was so extensive that the owner need to strip most of the building component down and restore the house.
The way we live now is very different from the way we lived in the past. Restoring or renovating a period house is a delicate balance between rescuing the features of the past and providing the living spaces we expect today. The design blend both classic and contemporary design elements. The traditional exterior of the house was kept intact and shows no signs of the contemporary interior.
DHL WAREHOUSE
Located in Penang’s Batu Kawan industrial area, the DHL building is a combination of warehouse space and office facilities. The new building comprises of 2440 square meters, providing efficient and high level functional space for fast-moving logistic business, at the same time providing friendly and interactive working space to enhance wellbeing and interaction among employees.
INDUSTRIAL SCHEME DEVELOPMENT
Premier Light Industrial Scheme
This development features a select collection of freehold light industrial units situated across 17.87 acres of prime industrial land. Located strategically in the established industrial district of Bukit Minyak, the project is designed with business growth and flexibility in mind.
CONTINENTAL FACTORY
The Continental Factory in Prai is a hub for the development of two-wheeled vehicles and also a prime location of the development of commercial vehicles and ASEAN after-sales business units.

CONTACHINGS SOLUTION HEADQUATER
The Contacthings Solution Headquarters stands as a prominent 3-storey industrial and office building located within the Penang Free Trade Zone (FTZ), adjacent to the Penang Airport flight runway. This strategically positioned facility integrates a contemporary design with functional efficiency, reflecting the high-tech nature of its core business.
BLACK OVEN BAKERY
Black Oven’s unit is located in UNESCO World Heritage Zone in Georgetown, Penang. Black Oven is a modern and laid-back bakery unit with the interior screams warm and welcoming, the same as what is produces in the unit itself.
Brighter colors and tones are used in the bakery to make it quirkier, fun-looking and relaxing. This unit is designed to be more humble looking but still maintaining the elegance in the midst of modesty. Black oven’s uses dynamic design in its interior and furniture to emphasize its concept and creating a fluid image of the bakery.
BLACK CUMIN
Black Cumin is a heritage building renovated into a fine dining that reflects the historical identity of being in the UNESCO Heritage Zone, Georgetown, but with a fusion of raw and modern concept that brings out the elegance of this fine diner itself.
Without overdoing, the interior is special and memorable due to the dual vibe of both modern and historical, caused by basic colours and earthy tones that are used in the diner. With clean and modern furniture used, the important features of this fine diner have become even clearer and distinctive. The major usage of glass is where modernisation takes place while timber and bare brickwork surfaces balance the energy of the diner.

STR19
When it comes to building an extension, a contemporary addition to the rear or side of your home is an ideal choice. Extending your property as part of an internal (and often external) remodel can offer the additional space you need and create a more attractive home.
The new annex extension is designed in box-shaped to integrate the extension into existing form of the house. Full height windows are introduced to all the main living area and bedrooms to create connection between indoor and outdoor space. Main living room and dining area are facing the garden, make it an ideal place for gathering.
